Christ as they experience quality Christian care and education in a
safe, happy learning environment.

God.
- To provide a safe, secure and loving environment that makes
each child feel special.

are age appropriate and in which they can be successful.

|
| How do I enroll my child in Playschool? |
We
are currently enrolling for 2007-2008. We
accept children ages 4 months – 5 years (Pre-Kindergarten). To
enroll simply visit or call the Playschool office during normal business
hours. And we will check on an available spot for your child. If
a spot is not available, we will add you to our waiting list and
update you regularly on your status.
If a spot is available, you will fill out our brief enrollment form
and pay $50.00 non-refundable, registration fee. This holds your
child’s spot until the admission packet is completed and accepted. Admission
packets are given when your child is registered if the school year
has already begun, or mailed to your home the first week in August
if the school year has not started yet.
|
| Why do I have to wait until my admission packet is completed for my child to begin? |
Your
admission packet contains several pertinent items that have to
be completed prior to accepting your child into the Playschool
program. The items have to be received and reviewed for completion
prior to admitting your child. Those items
include a current copy of your child’s shot records and proper
identification for all persons authorized to pick your child up.
The packet also contains materials that you will need as a Playschool
parent, for example, our school calendar and your monthly statement
as well.
Tuition Rates for 2007-2008
Babies – Two’s: $125.00/month
Three’s – Four’s: $145.00/month
Supply fee of $50.00 due twice a year at the beginning of each semester
per child.
|
| Do you have any Special Events? |
At
Playschool we have several special events and opportunities for
parents to be involved and join us. Some
examples of these events include Playdate with Dad,
Mommy & Me,Grandparents Day, Farmer Day, and Friendship Day
just to name a few.
And because your child’s safety is our number one priority, we
do not take the children off campus for field trips. Instead,
we bring the fun to them! They experience visits from community
helpers,
Petting zoos and several other special visitors.
|
| If I have more questions, who can I ask? |
Should
you have anymore questions regarding the Playschool program or
registration procedures, you can contact Kasha O’Neill,
Administrative Assistant, or Sandi Collins, Financial Secretary. They
will each be in the Playschool Office until May 22nd, at which time
they are off for Summer Vacation. They will, however, regularly
check office emails and voicemails, so feel free to leave messages
throughout the summer.
Sandi Collins will return from Summer Vacation
on Monday, August 6th. Kasha
O’Neill, Playschool Director, will
be available all year as well as during the summer on Mondays-Thursdays
and can be reached at 972.288.3388 extension 220.
|
| Is there anything else I need to know? |
There
are a few “tidbits” of
information you need to know:
- In
order to remain “fair” during our registration
process, we do not accept Teacher Requests or “best
friends” requests. All children will be placed in
classes according to their date of birth and relating to the
September 1st cutoff practiced by MISD.
- Our
younger preschool children are grouped no more than 2-3 months
apart and we work hard to balance our older Preschool classes
per age group. For example: Younger 2’s vs.Older
2’s, Older 4’s, etc.
- Playschool
tuition, Registration and Supply Fees are compiled by researching
comparable preschool programs in our area and their fees of the
current year.
- Parents are welcome to attend all Playschool events
and we welcome Parent Participation in our classrooms.
- We
are currently looking for permanent substitute teachers for next
school year and invite parents who may not work a “fulltime” job
to apply in the Playschool office. This is a paid position
in which a pay check is received twice a month for days worked. A
thorough background check is completed on all individuals serving
in and out of our classrooms. They are renewed annually
for returning staff members.
- We
also have positions available for Lead Teachers and Teaching
Assistants for the 2007-2008 school year and will accept applications
until all positions are filled. If interested,
please bring resume to Playschool office before June 4th or fax
to Kasha
O’Neill at 972.285.6043
there after. (Experience required)
