Mission Statement:

| The Deacon Body of
Mimosa Lane Baptist Church is
established for the purpose of carrying out Servant Ministry to the Church, as indicated
in Acts 6:1-6. In particular, Deacons are to serve with the Pastor and staff in performing
pastoral ministries and meeting the needs of the congregation by: proclaiming the gospel
to believers and unbelievers; caring for church members and others in the community; and
leading the Church to accomplish its mission through worship, evangelism, discipleship,
ministry, and fellowship. |

The Deacon Ministry is based
on a team approach
- A team consist of nine or more Deacons and Yokefellows
- Each team is assigned a week of active responsibilities on a rotating basis.
- Team responsibilities:
- Hospital visitation for week
- Homebound and nursing home visits
- Church member visitation
- Sunday Visitor visitation
- New Member visitation
- Leading prayer in the Worship services
- Monitoring of the building and grounds during the services
